This Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance Operations team supporting Customer Services.

In this role, you will help managers make informed business decisions by analysing financial and performance data, identifying trends, and providing meaningful insights that drive operational and financial performance. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure the delivery of accurate reporting, forecasts, budgets, and business intelligence.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, developing reporting processes, and supporting effective decision-making through robust financial analysis and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing timely and accurate management and performance information to support month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, contract reviews, negotiations, and tenders.
  • Collecting, validating, analysing, and interpreting financial data to support reporting, planning, and business decisions.
  • Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve service performance and efficiency.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of reporting tools and business intelligence solutions.
  • Working with IT and business stakeholders to improve information and reporting systems.
  • Monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators.
  • Managing large and complex data sets, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Supporting and coaching colleagues in the effective use of financial information.
  • Assisting with forecasting future stock requirements and associated budget planning.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience working within a large finance team.
  • Proven ability to undertake detailed quantitative analysis and interpret complex data.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience working with large data sets, data warehouses, or business intelligence environments.
  • Ability to identify trends and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
  • Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering service excellence.
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is desirable.
