We are looking for an Care & Support Team Manager to lead a portfolio of care and support services across a designated geographical area, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred services that achieve excellent outcomes for customers.

What You'll Be Doing

As Area Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage multiple services across a geographical area, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, safeguarding, and organisational requirements.
  • Develop and deliver service plans that demonstrate high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and develop Service Managers and frontline teams, creating a high-performing culture focused on customer outcomes.
  • Drive customer engagement and co-production, ensuring customers help shape the services they receive.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, commissioners, partner agencies, and local communities.
  • Monitor performance, quality, risk, customer satisfaction, and financial targets, taking action where required.
  • Manage service budgets and resources effectively to ensure commercial viability and value for money.
  • Promote innovation, problem-solving, and a coaching culture across services.
  • Support the organisation's vision, values, and reputation through exceptional leadership and service delivery.

About You

We're looking for a confident and compassionate leader who can inspire teams and deliver results.

You will have:

  • Experience managing multiple care, support, housing, or community-based services.
  • Strong people management and performance management experience.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or other customer groups requiring support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering financial performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-working skills.
  • Experience developing support plans, risk assessments, and customer-focused services.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
